Roman and company discussed the Bo situation. Abe said Bo was lucky Daniel showed up when he did. Daniel tried to reassure Carly that Bo would be okay. Abe thought Hope had a right to know what happened. Roman didn't want her there with Carly.
In Bo's room, Hope pondered what to do next. She told Bo she'd loved him; then, kissed him good-bye. Hope muttered how an air bubble in Bo's IV wouldn't be the slow, painful death she had planned, but it would suffice. Hope started to inject the IV, when Bo awoke. "What are you doing?" he muttered. Carly and Daniel entered Bo's room, and Hope split. Bo mumbled, "Hope. She was ..." Then, he went into cardiac arrest. Carly called for the crash cart. Bo survived, yet again. Carly decided to call Hope. Roman and Abe wondered if this could be the work of the DiMeras. Carly visited Bo, who yanked the breathing tubes from his mouth. She realized he wanted to tell her who did this to him.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Hope worried that Bo knew she tried to kill him. She found Ciara sleeping and whispered she'd done all this to protect her. "Zack died because daddy didn't care. All he cared about was that daughter he had with Billie," said Hope. "And then I almost lost you." Hope lamented how Bo handled everything his way, like she wasn't even there. Hope's phone rang. "So Bo told Carly what happened, and now they're coming for me," whispered Hope. "I'm so sorry, Ciara."
Nicole got a call from a mystery man offering a tip on a story and summoning her to the pier. Nicole headed off, as Rafe hung up. Soon, Rafe was at Nicole's motel room rifling through her things. Nicole phoned the number that called her, discovered it was a pay phone, and realized she'd been set up. Meanwhile, Rafe discovered a book. Nicole phoned EJ, assuming he was behind the set up. He swore he knew nothing. Rafe noticed an encoded page in the book and snapped pictures of it. Nicole returned and saw her place had been ransacked. She found her coded book and thought all was well. Little did she know Rafe was working on cracking the code.
Sami and EJ discussed the fact she now trusted him. Sami said they'd both had a lot to answer for. EJ insisted he was the one who needed to ask for forgiveness. Sami said EJ had changed and was now his own man. EJ thought back to telling Sami about Sydney's death. Sydney starting crying, and EJ went to tend to her. Then, Sami went to get the twins lunch ready. She returned after Nicole phoned EJ. EJ told her Nicole was jealous, because they had everything she wanted. Sami went off to spend time with Sydney. EJ cursed Nicole for threatening his newfound happiness. Sami returned, having found a new dress in Sydney's closet. EJ said he'd arranged for a family portrait and got new outfits for everyone. Sami asked if EJ picked something out for himself, since he should be in the picture, too. EJ was delighted. Sami decided to head up to bed. EJ gave her a kiss goodnight.
Victor phoned Maggie. He finished the foundation plans and wanted to show her. She invited him over. Victor told Vivian he was off to a meeting. Vivian assumed it was at Maggie's and tried to coax Victor into staying. It didn't work. Vivian swore she could make him happier than "that redheaded cow." Furious, Victor left and arrived at Maggie's complaining about Vivian. Maggie didn't want to hear it. Victor started to talk about the scholarship foundation. Maggie said she wanted to talk about them. Victor said they were friends. Maggie thought they shouldn't be, since he was married. She wanted Victor to talk to her lawyer about the foundation from now on. Victor got a call about Bo, and they headed off left.
Vivian met Gus at the pub, guzzled martinis, and bemoaned the situation with Victor. Gus suggested doing something about it. Vivian announced she was going to
