Kate and Stefano discussed Chad learning Madeline was a call girl as they prepared to leave the hospital. Stefano was upset Kate had kept the news from him. Meanwhile, Madeline tumbled down the stairs on the pier while arguing with Chad. Chad ran to his mother, who muttered, "I did it for you. I lied for you." Later, Madeline was wheeled into the hospital. Chad trailed behind. Kate and Stefano found Chad, who explained about Madeline's fall. Charles arrived, and Chad told him about his and Madeline's spat. Charles asked what it was about. Chad dodged. Lexie interrupted with devastating news: Madeline had died.


Melanie told Philip she was planning a baby shower for Chloe. Philip thought it was too soon. Melanie realized it was just one more time she was too involved and told Philip about how her attempt to get Brady and Arianna back together was a disaster. She mentioned leaving something behind at the beach and went to get it. Melanie happened upon Nathan and Stephanie, who were smooching after Nathan gave Steph a bracelet. "Are you stalking us?" asked Steph. Melanie explained she was back to pick something up and suggested Nathan and Steph get a room. Melanie left. Steph mentioned having to find a new roommate. Nathan asked if she'd consider him. "Yes," gasped Steph.
Chloe and Daniel discussed baby names for their upcoming bundle of joy and telling Victor their big news. Chloe couldn't imagine the look on Victor's face when he found out she was having a baby with his son. "Uh, godson," corrected Daniel. Chloe mentioned how much Victor hated her and how it didn't even bother her any more. Daniel left to pick up their dinner order, and Chloe beat herself up over her slip. Philip arrived to see if Daniel had bought their story. Chloe noted all was fine. Daniel found out Vivian was behind paying off the nurse and the hotel clerk. Philip was furious Vivian had caused this mess. He asked Chloe about the paternity test. She said Carly was setting it up. Philip asked if anyone else knew about their sexcapades. Chloe noted Father Matt did and was upset with her, but thankfully he was out of town.
Daniel found Father Matt at the pub. He asked the priest about performing his and Chloe's wedding, after they fixed their annulment problem. Father Matt said there was no annulment problem. There was another reason he couldn't go through with marrying them and told Daniel to ask Chloe what it was.
Philip returned home. Melanie kissed him, which led to more. Afterwards, she mentioned them having a baby one day, but not for a while. Daniel returned home to Chloe, mentioned seeing Father Matt, and asked the real reason she wouldn't marry him. Chloe noted she didn't want Father Matt to be involved in their plans any more. Daniel asked what was really going. Chloe swore she'd just changed her mind and wanted a civil ceremony.
Roman arrived at Bo's. Bo told him he was worried about Hope. Something strange was going on with her. Bo recounted his conversations with Carly, Adrienne and Justin. Roman thought Bo needed to back off and let Hope live her life her own way. After Roman left, Bo rushed off and turned up at the Kiriakis mansion. Henderson went to find Hope, while Ciara greeted her daddy. Bo asked about the stories Ciara had been telling. Ciara insisted they were true and told Bo she saw Hope hugging a man and it wasn't Justin. Henderson returned and noted Hope wasn't in the house.
Dr. Baker tried to talk Hope out of her plan to kill Bo. Hope wouldn't back down. Baker blocked the door. Hope asked if Baker was falling in love with her. First, he denied it. Then, he admitted he might be. If that meant anything to Hope, Baker begged her not to do this and offered up another revenge plan — mug Bo, drug him, clean out his accounts and skip town. Hope seemed touched and said she'd think about it. Baker left, and Hope proceeded with her original plan, heading to Bo's house. As she wandered around she muttered about Bo being the devil and abandoning her. She talked about getting the rest of her things, so she could create a little hell on earth, and headed to the door. Hope opened it to find Bo standing there.
