'Black Swan' Makes History for Critics' Choice Movie Awards


The 16th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards will announce its winners on Friday, January 14, but today "The Insider" has the list of nominees.


Natalie Portman's new film 'Black Swan' garnered 12 nominations, the most in the award ceremony's history. The closest movies to 'Black Swan' in terms of nominations were 'True Grit' and 'The King's Speech,' who each received 11 nominations.
Nicole Kidman also broke a record, having been nominated for her seventh Best Actress award for her performance in 'Rabbit Hole.'
Other notable nominees include 'Inception,' with 10 nominations, and 'The Social Network,' with nine.
The Critics' Choice Awards has made a name for itself by being the best predictor of the Academy Award nominations.
