Whoopi Goldberg: I Make No Apologies
Whoopi Goldberg took an opportunity on "The View" to address the controversy surrounding herself and alleged White House "party crasher" Michaele Salahi, a member of "The Real Housewives of D.C.".
"Let me explain what was going on," Whoopi said on air Thursday. "I was backstage waiting for the conversation to get back to the White House part."
The show cut to a clip from Wednesday's show, in which she came out on stage, touched Michaele on the arm and said "Excuse me, can we get back to the White House please?"
"Afterward, Michaele was very upset," Whoopi explained. "Then I was told that she thought I hit her. So I went up to her and I told her that she knew I didn't hit her, and yeah, you know how I said it -- choice words."
After saying she cussed out the "Real Housewife," Whoopi stated, "I make no apologies for my choice words."
"The View" co-host then said Michaele's husband "got in my face, had his blackberry out and started taking pictures of me. Needless to say, I really went off then -- and there were even more choicer words." The audience roared with laughter as she admitted, "I mean they were so choice you could have cut with a knife and eaten them."
The ladies then moved on to other topics after quickly restating that no charges have been brought against the Salahi's for allegedly crashing a White House party.
