Sweet and Sour Kisses on 'Bachelor Pad'
Monday night was a kiss-o-rama on ABC's "Bachelor Pad"! With the 15 bachelors and bachelorettes battling it out in a steamy kissing contest, emotions ran high as lips locked in the name of love – and reality competition survival. Read on to find out about the show's hookups, scandals and scene-stealers!
In "Bachelor Pad," the most memorable players from previous seasons of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" are back for a second chance at love, all living in one house and sleeping in one room. Everybody still has a chance to find love -- and to win $250,000!
Host Chris Harrison and Melissa Rycroft announced the kissing competition – with each contestant receiving a serious smooch while blindfolded, tasked with choosing the best kisser of the group.
Elizabeth smiled, "I would make out with everyone in the house for, like, twenty bucks." But Gia was in tears because she felt like the house had transformed into a bunch of "porn stars." With a boyfriend back home, she grappled with the idea of the contest – but luckily the guys were all very respectful with their kisses. When it was her turn to kiss the blindfolded guys, she burst into tears and bowed out of the competition. Teacher Ashley also said she couldn't participate and pulled herself out of the game, saying, "Money can't buy the respect of my students."
The big winners as "Best Kisser in the House" were David and Peyton. "I'm a passionate lover, so I think that came out today," said David, and Peyton enthused, "That's kind of a cool title to have." Both won roses and were protected from elimination this week – and they got to go on that all-important overnight date to pass along their rose to a special someone!
David landed a Vegas getaway for his overnight date, and he chose Nikki, Krisily and Natalie to go with him. The three flew in a private jet to Sin City, where they made their way to Bare, a nude pool club. They all enjoyed drinks, and the ladies marveled over David's sculpted body at the pool. Determined to do anything to get that rose, Natalie took off her bikini top – no surprise to the other girls – and later received the rose. Nikki and Krisily had to head straight home, giving David and Natalie time to enjoy each other's company in their incredible private Vegas suite. During dinner, they received an opportunity to stay in the suite together, and sparks flew. "There's definitely some chemistry there," said David of Natalie after an incredible kiss. "It's two against the world now." The two agreed to keep their union and affections for each other a secret as a strategy to win the final prize. "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas," said David.
For her date, Peyton picked Kovacs, Kiptyn and Jesse B. for a wild night at the Irwindale drag-racing strip. Peyton got to race against all three guys, then spend some quality time with each over dinner. She even shared a romantic kiss with Jesse B. -- whom she called "dreamy" -- and he was also "super stoked" to win the all-important rose from Peyton. She invited him to stay with her in the "fantasy suite." Jesse B. said of Peyton, "She'd make a good wife someday," and sparks flew as they connected.
Despite all the fun, one guy and one girl had to be on the chopping block. After much intrigue as to who should vote for whom and who could be trustworthy, the third rose ceremony began. Kovacs got his rose, and it was a tie between Gia and Elizabeth for the other rose. David was asked to choose between the two, and named Elizabeth as the woman he wanted to save.
That meant that Gia and Jonathan had to go home, eliminated from the competition. "This game is like love and life amplified," said Jonathan. "I came here for money and for love, and I came home with neither one." Gia, as expected, got emotional during her ride home, saying, "The money, it's not everything. I'm an emotional wreck right now."
