Bristol Palin Breaks Up with Levi Johnston: 'I Got Played'

Bristol tells People.com, "It's over. I broke up with him." The 19-year-old and her ex Levi share a 19-month-old son, Tripp.

As for the reason for their second split, Bristol tells People that on the very day that she went public with the news of their engagement (July 14), Levi told her he may have gotten another woman pregnant.
According to People, Bristol fought tears when discussing the breakup, expressing that she felt heartbroken and adding, "There's been no remorse."
"The final straw was him flying to Hollywood for what he told me was to see some hunting show but come to find out it was that music video mocking my family," Bristol tells People. "He's just obsessed with the limelight and I got played."
Bristol's high-profile mom, former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, told People of the news, "I wish for Bristol to be able to move forward in life with her same forgiving, gracious, optimistic spirit, but from henceforth she'll know to trust but verify. Bristol is strong, she is independent, and she knows what is right for her son."
Just last week, Levi's attorney told "The Insider": "We spoke with this young lady personally to find out if her pregnancy had anything to do with Levi before the announcement of the engagement to Bristol. We did not want something like this to derail the marriage. She specifically told us no and that Levi had nothing to do with her baby. Someone waved a check under her nose and now she has come up with this opposite [scenario]...."
Levi's attorney went on to say, "Lets be clear, this is not Levi's child....However, we realize that a person like Levi is vulnerable....anyone whose name is out there in the spotlight is subject to these types of allegations..in that regard, Levi is no different....you almost have to expect it to happen....and so it is....Levi's focus will not be distracted by this....he will continue to move forward with the things that are important, working and making a living so he can support a family."
