Oliver begged Hope for forgiveness, but she asked him to give her some time. Oliver was glad to hear that she could forgive him eventually. Hope acknowledged that he hadn't hurt her on purpose, but still couldn't understand how he could've confused her with her mother. "I thought you knew the real me and who I am and what I want," she sighed, stating that the encounter with "her" hadn't been romantic.
Oliver admitted that he's a guy and just wants to be with her, whenever and wherever, and reminded her that she'd promised him "something special" the night of her graduation party. Hope softened and said that when the time does come, she wants candles and roses. He was pleased to hear that she was willing to move forward. Later, Oliver surprised her by having Jason Castro come by and sing "Love Uncompromised" for her. As he performed, Hope took Oliver's hand and thought back to happy times in their relationship. "Thank you," she whispered when the song was over. They kissed, but Hope pictured him with her mother and pulled away. "I can't do this," she stammered and ran out.
Taylor told Whip that she's trying to believe that Steffy didn't make the incriminating Brooke tribute. Steffy joined them and insisted that she was innocent. Ridge came by Taylor's place and Steffy vowed to prove to him that she wasn't the one who'd revealed Brooke's secret. Ridge hoped that she could, but didn't want her back at Forrester until she's gotten control of her anger toward Brooke. "She cheated on you!" Steffy yelled. "When are you going to stop forgiving her?" Ridge asked her to respect his wife. Steffy was angry with him for not hearing her side, when he's willing to let what Brooke did slide. Steffy pleaded for her job back, but he refused. Later, Taylor assured Steffy that she does believe her innocence in the tribute debacle and bashed Brooke. She handed Steffy an envelope; in it, was a document saying that Steffy is entitled to 25 percent of Forrester. Steffy was thrilled.
Stephanie had the maid, Linda, add flowers to the guest house. Brooke came by and Steph revealed that she's having Hope move in. Brooke was furious, but Stephanie said that Hope came to her. "I'd rather she be raised by wolves," Brooke seethed. Stephanie countered that Hope isn't a child and can live where she wants. "You're a whore and your little girl finally knows it," Stephanie gloated. Ouch! Steph refused to let Hope end up like Brooke and didn't want Brooke to hurt her daughter anymore. Brooke angrily shoved Stephanie, knocking her unconscious.
