AS THE WORLD TURNS RECAPS

Lily was determined to buy a majority stake in WorldWide. Craig applauded the end of the Lucinda era. He added that making Lucinda believe Lily wants her sent to jail would be suitable revenge. Lily was reluctant to use her mother's tactics; she'd rather be a better person.

When an indignant Lucinda burst in, Lily sent Craig away. Lily revealed that she knew Lucinda used her to get back at Craig. Lucinda accused Craig of telling lies to drive a wedge between them, but Lily pointed out Lucinda did that already. "It takes a special kind of monster to use her own children as pawns," she snarled. "Sometimes a mother has to do things for her daughter," Lucinda said. "I am ashamed to be your daughter," Lily countered. Lily bemoaned growing up in Lily's shadow. Lucinda admitted trying to bring down Craig, and Lily being hurt was simply an unfortunate necessity. Aghast, Lily warned that if forced to choose, she will pick Craig over her mother. Lucinda was devastated, and suggested they go to Avalon together to bond again. Lily declared she's going to live her own life now, "and there is no more room for you in it." She stormed out, leaving Lucinda sobbing. Lily found Craig at the Lakeview, and crowed about telling off her mother. Craig hugged her, and she started crying; upset about the break. She mused about her mother remaking her whole life, but admitted that doesn't give her the right to control Lily's life. Craig admitted he's done terrible things in the name of his children, but that stops now. He's making a fresh start.

Dusty found Janet packing to go to Avalon Castle spa — with Blackie. Dusty didn't want her to go, but Janet pointed out they are not a couple. He apologized about Lucy. She insisted this wasn't revenge, she just wants to relax. "What does Blackie want?" he asked. She sent Dusty away. In Milltown, Carly was furious that Jack "jumped the gun" and "ruined" the sting. He wondered how far she would have gone. "A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do," she snarked. She explained how the perfume company represented her future, and now it's gone. He promised she won't face the future alone: "We're a team." They were interrupted by Dusty, who told Jack about Blackie and the spa. Carly gave Dusty the medal she got from Blackie so he can look into it. At Metro, Dusty told Johnny that Terri is taking him on a special trip. He showed her the medal, which she identified as representing the St. Carmelo Society, an Italian burial club (intended to reassure immigrants they will not end up in a Potter's field). Terri assured Dusty that Blackie is not in business with Uncle Ralph; she's known him her whole life, and he's great. Meanwhile, Carly pointed out to Jack that Dusty loves Janet unconditionally. "How long is a man supposed to wait for the woman he loves to love him back?" she asked. Jack wondered the same thing. Dusty confronted Lucinda at WorldWide about Blackie, vowing not to forgive her if anything happens to Janet. Later, Lucinda gave Blackie an envelope of "severance pay," but he insisted on sticking around — maybe permanently. At the farm, Janet found a photo of herself with a laughing Dusty. She lingered over it, then trashed it. Dusty phoned Jack, who explained the St. Carmelo Society — and suggested Blackie is a made guy. Dusty headed for Avalon and wanted Jack to back him up, but Carly wouldn't let him. She claimed this wasn't about Janet, but rather Brad and Ralph Manzo. She wanted to go with him, but he refused, citing the danger (and invoking Brad). She agreed to stay behind.

Dusty was jumped by thugs in a parking lot and tossed into an SUV. At Lakeview, Craig told Lily that Blackthorn is going to Avalon. Lily mentioned her aborted plan to go with Lucinda. Craig suggested they go together. Later, Janet and Blackie arrive at Avalon Castle, where Jack was waiting. Janet sad Dusty isn't coming. Jack decided to search the deserted facility, and found Carly instead.
