JR was waiting by the phone; Annie reminded him to get ready to announce Chandler Enterprises's acquisition of Cortlandt Electronics. JR was hoping for a return call from Adam, but it never came. Scott stormed in, angry that JR had called an emergency board meeting without him. JR told him about the sale, and that Caleb had no idea the guy who now owned Cortlandt was working for JR. Scott said they didn't agree to acquire Cortlandt through trickery. Annie reminded JR that he had to get dressed because the interview was coming
up.

At Pine Valley Hospital, Jake asked Angie how she was doing. Angie said she was fine — the experimental medication appeared to be improving her vision problem.

Jesse welcomed Natalia home. She said she was sorry Jesse got suspended. Jesse said he'd get through it. Natalie said her trip to West Virginia wasn't a waste. She knew the lead investigator … and he asked her out. Jesse got angry, but Natalia said they needed the NTSB to look at Erica's crash as a crime committed by David, and if she had to flirt with the guy to achieve that, so be it. Jesse said that between David's case and Angie's job stress, he felt like he was letting his wife down. Natalia worried that Jesse was becoming obsessed.

David stood over an unconscious Ryan in the park as Greenlee arrived. She screamed to get Ryan to a hospital. David said not to touch him; he might have a spinal injury. Greenlee called 911. She asked why Ryan wasn't waking up. The emergency medics arrived and got Ryan to the hospital, where Angie met them. She asked for Jake to help out; David said no, but Angie insisted. David bugged Angie about hurrying up and preparing Ryan so they could run a CT scan.

Ryan dreamed he was having a drink and Bianca walked in. She said she knew what day it was; it was her anniversary, too. It had been a full year since Greenlee died, Bianca noted. She told Ryan he had to move on. Ryan said he had no life without Greenlee. Bianca disappeared, and Greenlee showed up. "It's really me," she said. "I survived, and I came back to you."

In the hospital, David pushed Angie to hurry and get Ryan to Radiology. Angie was preparing Ryan for an injection as her vision went blurry. David asked what was going on, and Angie said Ryan needed a specialist. Jake showed up and took over, noting that Angie had pulled a double shift and was overtired. Jake told David and Greenlee to leave because they weren't family.

Greenlee asked David what happened. She figured out that he followed her to the park and picked a fight with Ryan, and that Ryan fell and David just stood there, watching him bleed. Jesse walked in and noted, "Sounds like a crime to me."

Bianca went to Wildwind, and congratulated Caleb on selling the company. She asked what he was doing with Wildwind, and said she'd like to rent it. Caleb agreed. Bianca noted her mom used to live there with Dimitri, but now there was only one man for Erica: Jack. Caleb said what happened between him and Erica was just a couple of bad coincidences: "Your mother has flown into the sunset with Jack and his perfect hair…and I'm going home. Everything's as it should be."

JR congratulated Annie on getting married. She wondered how Caleb would react to being swindled. JR wasn't worried; he had all the power now, and said it felt amazing. Scott caught Annie fussing over JR's tie, and told them the reporter had arrived.

At Wildwind, Bianca made more small talk, asking if the cable channels there had her daughters' favorite; Caleb told her to turn on the TV and see. They caught JR giving his interview. JR promised to run the company with an iron fist. Caleb, puzzled that JR was the new owner of Cortlandt, tried calling the guy he thought he sold the company to and got a dead line. He realized JR had swindled him. Caleb rushed to the Chandler mansion. He said JR was continuing his father's legacy by stealing Cortlandt Electronics. He'd vowed to get it back, no matter what.

Greenlee talked about David in Ryan's dream, and how he had helped her, which upset Ryan. Jake thought Ryan needed more fluids. Angie said, "Jake...there's something wrong! Check his breath sounds, I think he's laboring." Jake agreed, and immediately sent Ryan for a CT scan. Angie admitted she couldn't see a thing when she had a needle pointed at Ryan's head. She decided to step down as chief of staff. Jake promised her that David would never find out about Angie's problem.

At the Chandler mansion, JR flipped through a file from Cortlandt, and Scott became nervous that JR would find out about the idea Scott stole from Palmer. Scott told Annie he was counting on her keep an eye on JR. Annie asked if Scott was testing her. She said she'd do whatever it took to prove her loyalty.

Bianca, wandering through Wildwind, talked to Miranda about how much fun they'd have there. Caleb arrived, slamming the door, obviously angry. He said JR was worse than Adam. Caleb noted things had changed and Bianca couldn't stay at Wildwind. Bianca pointed out that there was plenty of room for everyone, and Caleb grudgingly agreed to let her stay.

At the hospital after the scan, Jake told Greenlee and David that Ryan had an aneurism. David said they should leave, but Greenlee wanted to wait there — alone. As David put on his jacket, everyone noticed there was a large bloodstain on his sleeve.

In Ryan's dream, Greenlee said she would always be grateful to David for saving her life, but that Ryan was one she loved, and had always loved. The doctors began Ryan's surgery.
