Stunned Sami asked EJ to repeat what he said about them being married. "Haven't you thought about that ever?" he asked. She was taken aback and admitted that she hasn't considered it, pointing out that they've been down that road before. "We'd be better off laying down on train tracks and waiting to see what happened," she cracked, then asked him point-blank if he's proposing to her.
"If I ask you to marry me, you will know," he grinned. Sami was rattled and overcome with emotion when EJ got up, held her hand and reenacted what he would do and say if and when he really does propose. Sami was confused about whether EJ had really just proposed or not. He claimed he hadn't, but was obviously disappointed that she didn't get the hint. Sami was relieved and said they're not ready. EJ wouldn't let it go and wondered why they can't just follow their hearts. Sami stopped him. Then they shared an awkward moment and she quickly excused herself.
Nicole called the bank to find out how soon she can start withdrawing the cool $5 million EJ gave her. "Now I can move out of this dump and live like a lady should live!" she grinned. Meanwhile, Brady spotted Baker on the pier. He fled so Brady followed. Brady ran into Nicole on the way and told her that he tried to chase Baker but lost him. Nicole was clearly frazzled. He was insistent that Baker pay for what he'd done and explained that's why he called the cops. Nic panicked and worried about what Baker might do to retaliate if he got caught. Brady assured her he has no leverage against her. Then, Nic was overcome with dread when Baker called her to say there's a problem and said laying low is easier said than done. Nic covered about the call to Brady and claimed it was an issue at the station she had to tend to. She hurried off; he was dubious and followed her to the pier, where he called her out for lying and pointed out how uncomfortable she got with the mention of Baker. She said she hopes he just leaves town forever; Brady preferred he get nabbed by the cops instead. And with that, Nic ran off again.
Carly continued to probe hypnotized Bo's memory. He admitted that he does remember the events of the attack then suddenly opened his eyes and stared right at Hope and said he remembers smelling gasoline. Carly asked him to recall what he did after he left Victor's that night and wondered if he had anything to eat or drink. When he replied yes, Hope suddenly yelled for them to stop, She was clearly spooked and asked Carly to stop the technique, claiming it was causing too much stress on Bo. Caroline showed up and was still angry about the night before. She asked Bo, who looked traumatized, if he's okay. He quickly snapped out of it; Hope excused herself and asked Carly not to perform any more sessions unless Hope is present. After, Bo was eager to get back to work. Carly fretted about his safety but he wasn't deterred and rushed off.
At the Kiriakis manse, Vivian rushed in to ask what happened to Bo. Victor suspected that she was responsible for the attack. Vivian said if she did do it, she'd be far more professional about it. "Whoever did attack Bo was clumsy," she snorted. Then she brought up their marriage vows and her devotion to him as the reason why she'd never do such a thing. "Oh bull feathers!" Victor grumbled. "You haven't spoken the truth since Jimmy Carter was in office." Miffed, Vivian threw Maggie's rejection in his face, which only upset Victor more. He reminded them of their business relationship and stormed out. Vivian wondered aloud if Victor might love her if he knew she had his and Bo's best interests in mind.
Sami was down in the dumps after her encounter with EJ, so she went to the pub and sidled up to the bar, where Caroline could tell that something was eating her. She joked that EJ must have asked her to marry him; Sami shot her a look of dread and tearfully explained that he did, but she's in love with Rafe, which is why this is such a big deal. Caroline advised Sami to forget about the proposal, then. Sami reasoned that she will never have a future with Rafe and that EJ is great with the kids, adding that they do have a connection and that she believes things will be different this time around. "Then marry him!" Caroline shrugged. Sami was still troubled. Meanwhile, EJ informed Stefano that Sami has agreed to live at the mansion permanently, although they disagreed about why. Then he told Stefano he intends to marry Sami. Stefano was outraged and refused to condone it.
Baker phoned Hope and said they really need to talk. He explained that he's been spotted and it may be problematic. After, Carly stopped by to say it's evident that Hope still cares about Bo and asked for her help in getting to the root of what happened to him. They bickered, especially after Carly brought up the way Hope treated her at the pub the other day. Hope, of course, had no recollection and insisted she just wants to find out who hurt Bo. "She's standing right in front of you," sneered Vivian, who'd arrived on the sly. Bo, meanwhile, headed to the SPD. Abe told Bo that he's taking Theo to a baseball game. Bo pulled out his wallet and tried to find an old World Series ticket stub to show Theo, who brought up
