'Project Runway''s Tim Gunn Says Blue is the New Black
Fashion extraordinaire Tim Gunn declares blue is in this season. The "Project Runway" mentor has joined the A-list cast of 'The Smurfs,' according to Variety.
He will add a stylish flair to the little blue characters, playing an executive assistant at a major cosmetic company. Neil Patrick Harris, Hank Azaria, and Sofia Vergara will also suit up for live-action parts. Katy Perry, Fred Armisen, George Lopez, Anton Yelchin, Alan Cumming, Jeff Foxworthy, Wolfgang Puck, and Jonathan Winters will head to the recording studio to voice the animated feature.
Gunn is seeing "incredible talent" as he scours the country for aspiring designers for the next season of "Project Runway." He told "The Insider" at the A&E Upfronts in New York on Wednesday, "I look at 'Project Runway' as being so analogous to my teaching experiences. Every semester there's a whole new crop of students and you're excited about a new launch of a semester. We're excited about a new launch of a season."
He will also be seen in 'Sex and the City 2,' strutting fashionably into theaters on May 27.
