Cyrus Says, She Has No Plans To Quit “Hannah Montana”
Falsifying the rumors that 15-year old Miley Cyrus wished to quit the show that made her a star, Patti McTeague, spokeswoman for Disney’s Hannah Montana show said that it was pure gossip with no truth to the rumors.
Cyrus, who is one of the world’s most popular teen celebrities, said that she has no plans to leave Disney’s most watched series. She confirmed that she was fully committed to Hannah Montana, despite reports published on celebrity website tmz.com that Cyrus was acting up by showing up late on set, stalling production and infuriating the cast and crew, all in a bid to get fired, as she wanted to build a successful pop music career and wanted to focus on singing rather than the TV show.
This is not the first time that rumors have circulated about Cyrus wanting to leave the show, after the young actress said after releasing her new album Breakout that it could be her last season as Hannah Montana. The movie version of the highly popular TV show is scheduled for release in April 2009.
